Enabling Closed Captioning on Roku

To adjust closed captioning settings on your Roku device:

1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote to open the main screen.
2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.
3. Select Accessibility.
   • If Accessibility is not listed, select Captions instead.
4. Choose Captions Mode and select when you want captions to appear:

Caption Modes

• Off – Captions never appear.
• On Always – Captions always appear when available from the service provider.
  • Note: Some providers manage captioning within their own channel settings.
• On Replay – Captions appear only after pressing the Instant Replay button on your remote (for supported content).
• When Mute – Captions appear only when the volume is muted.
  • Note: This option is not available on all Roku devices.
